Getting failed internal service error

Jump to solution

Outdoor camera se

I have had my camera for a couple weeks now. It was working great then the 14 day trial ended yesterday.  I updated the subscription information and now it won't record events.  I have reset it, I have Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and have taken the sd card in and out.  I just keep getting the error Failedinternal service error.  What do I do.  Return it and get a different brand?  Super frustrating.

Hi @Alibat,

Thanks for letting us know about your Roku Camera not recording issue. We're here to help.

Are you getting motion detection notifications from the Roku Smart Home app?

In the meantime, try the following:

  1. Log out and back into the smart home app
  2. Once signed out, tap "Use different Roku account" at the bottom of the sign-in page
(You can use the same Roku account that showed up on the sign-in page. We just want you to enter the email/password manually for a full refresh.)
  3. Follow the rest of the sign-in steps.
  4. After logging back in, leave the smart home app/lock the phone, trigger motion on the camera, and see if you will get an event recording now. (Event/notification may take up to a minute to come through)

If the issue continues, let us know.

Looks like you're experiencing the issue too, and we'd like to help.

Could you show us a picture of the error message so we can take a closer look? Also, what specific Roku Camera is affected?

Tell us more!
