Roku Setup won't scan for LIVE TV channels.
New Westinghouse Roku TV. I successfully did an initial setup of "Live TV" (WITHOUT connecting to internet) and everything worked fine. Meaning I connected my antenna and the TV correctly scanned for Live TV channels. Again, I'm not connected to the internet.
Well, I did a RESET, and now "Live TV" won't do another channel scan.
When I reach the area that allows me to click OK to "Scan for channels", instead of beginning a channel scan, all that happens is a gray screen appears with an antenna graphic. A channel scan never begins - the tv just sits stuck at that gray screen, frozen forever.
At that point, the only way out of that stuck gray screen is to hit the HOME button.
I've done resets, reboots, a usb update, nothing works.
The antennae connection is solid. As I say, it allowed me to scan once, but after a reset it won't begin a scan for channels - it just hangs on that gray screen with the antenna graphic.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
-RA
Hi @RA-378,
Thank you for your first post here in the Roku Community!
We understand you're having a problem with antenna channels since you can't scan them. We're happy to assist you further. A Roku TV might be unable to scan for channels using an antenna due to several reasons, including poor signal strength from the antenna placement, a faulty connection between the antenna and TV, a damaged antenna itself, incorrect settings on the TV, geographic location impacting signal reception, or even a problem with the TV's internal tuner; it's important to check all these factors to troubleshoot the issue.
Please try doing this and see if it helps with what you're experiencing.
Best regards,
John
