Roku setup

have had Roku stick before the early one purple one with a LG tv worked great, still does. Got new Vizio TV. old stick will not work with this tv. So, using fire stick, went in got the Roku app. trying to sign in with my already account. it asks to put code in link code. I have done this numerous times and it always comes back that it is an invalid code? I have had an account since 2018 why will it not hook up to this tv? Im no computer dummy but this simply will not allow the code no matter what code is displayed. I have even de activated the other stick it still comes back invalid code.

By "Roku app" do you mean you added The Roku Channel to your Firestick?

Yes, added the app to the firestick. The app seems to work but I do not have access to the features of being logged in to my account. I have tried everything but when entering a code it keeps coming back invalid code. I even tried deactivating other external roku device and no change. Thanks..

If you mean the Roku channel, that's just one channel of many on a Roku device.  I don't think the Roku channel will link to a Roku account (which is for Roku devices.)

The Roku Channel app on another device (or going to therokuchannel.com on a computer) gets you The Roku Channel, that's all.  It doesn't get you access to anything else from your Roku account.
