I recently got a Roku it updated and yeah, was working fine. It asked for my email and I gave. It sent an email to me and made me make an account. But would NOT let the credit card information be optional. I do NOT want to put that stuff in, so I did searching all night and got told to go to this link “my.roku.com/signup/nocc” so I did but it didn’t put me where I wanted.. just on the home page. I still have no solution for this stuff.
In my opinion this is very complicated and should just send a code to your email to activate the tv.
Hmm, I just went to the link you gave (in two differnt browsers) and ended up a page titled: "Create your Roku account" You don't? Maybe a location issue?
@Lilybug4208, if that link takes you to your account page then you're probably already set up and ready to go. What does your account page at https://my.roku.com show as your payment method? I agree that it's needlessly complicated, but you can always remove your payment method at any time.
