I bought a wr002 thinking it would work with my 3810x but it does not. I even tried an adapter to convert the mini to micro and that didn't work. Any ideas on how to get my 3810x back up and running?
As you discovered, no way to get the WR002 cable to work with the 3810.
Other than buying another 3810 on Ebay or Amazon (which come with their own precautions of people swapping out their cables and returning), you may just want to consider purchasing one of the Roku streaming players like the Express 4k+ (3941) or one of the Ultra/Ultra LT models that do not require this proprietary receiver cable.

The 3810 will only work with the WR001 that it originally came with. As the 3810 model is still being supported, I fault Roku for not continuing to keep this essential component in stock.

@Doughty I am having this very same issue. Did anyone help to resolve it?

Just a heads up that WR002 doesn’t work with the 3810/3811. To assist you further with your concern, please keep an eye on your inbox as we have sent you a private message.
Looking forward to your response.

I am still waiting for a reply to my private messages.
Solution was that the WR002 does not work with 3810x and no replacement for one that does. So I have to throw away my 3810x and buy something new. I guess that is a way to force people to upgrade by attrition. Disappointed for sure, but will take this opportunity to explore media players from other vendors.
