Roku setup

Batteries good in remote .The stick is powered by wall adapter and when plugged into stick I get a white light then a series of blinking red then goes to white then shuts off . Help . I did try stick on another tv anf it works

Is turning on the TV the only issue?  I mean, if you just turn on the TV with its own remote, (and make sure the TV is on the right input) then is it fine?  If not, what happens then?

Could you please clarify whether it is the TV that will not turn on or the TV will turn on but the Roku Streaming Stick will not display any pictures?
