My wife has her TV and I have mine. Why do we need two separate accounts?
Did someone say you should have separate accounts?
I mean your question is a bit like: "Why do I need two flavors of ice cream in my freezer?"
@Winnie_0789 If you are talking about Roku accounts, you do not need separate accounts. I have multple Roku devices linked to one account.
There is a limit to the number of devices you can have on a single account, but I'm uncertain what that number is. I know it's more than 12, so someone would have to have a whole lot of Rokus before having a problem.
Specifically, I have 10 Roku player/TV devices on my account and 10 Roku home products. No problem with those amounts.
Having separate accounts for streaming services in the same house can offer personalized content recommendations and keep individual watch histories distinct. It's like having different flavors of ice cream—variety and personal preferences. However, for Roku accounts, having multiple devices linked to one account is possible, eliminating the need for separate accounts. There's a limit, but it's typically more than enough for the average household.
