How can I connect a ROKU Express to a Vizio TV without an HDMI port. It has a port that says RGBPC above it. Is there an adapter or cable for this?
@Labby They do make Component to HDMI converters that converts HDMI signal into analog YPbPr signal at the same resolution. They also separate the audio stream from the HDMI signal (HDMI LPCM 2-Channel) and converts it to analog stereo R/ L audio that can be used with the Component display. There are a variety of brands that run from around 12 to 25 bucks, depending on the brand. You can look on sites such as AMZ and search for HDMI converters or HDMI to component converters.
Hi @Labby,
Thanks for the inquiry, and welcome to the Roku Community!
Please be advised that if your Vizio TV lacks an HDMI port, you cannot directly connect a Roku Express to it as Roku devices exclusively use HDMI connections; therefore, you would need to purchase an external device like an HDMI to composite video converter box to connect the Roku to your TV's available ports, like composite video (yellow, white, red) cables.
We hope that's helpful, Happy Streaming!
Kind regards,
John
