Roku setup

I just activated my account and was curious whether there is an activation date for the device. If I am unable to add the device within a few days will my account expire? I was given a television set that belonged to a deceased family member. Now I have to find a good location for the television. The only other question, Can one television be cable and another having the Roku account? Thank you for your help.

Are you saying you created a Roku account, but you haven't linked the device to your account yet?  You can link the device whenever you want.

You can have a Roku and cable on the same TV or two different TVs.  They are completely unrelated and function independently of each other.
