Stuck on Let’s Get Started Screen

Roku express fresh from the box. Stuck on language screen . I have reset, unplugged everything and re-plugged everything. I have plugged USB into main power after having in TV. Nothing has worked.  Please help!

Have you tried new batteries in the remote?  The batteries that came with it may be junk.  Also, it seems like a lot of people have been reporting remotes that failed shortly after taking them out of the box.  Point the remote at your cell phone camera and you should see a flash of light on the phone's screen when you press a button on the remote.  No flashes means the remote isn't working.

One more thing to check:

Some Roku remote models require the batteries to be oriented the same way, others require the batteries to be oriented in opposite directions.  I don't know which comes with the Express.  There should be a battery orientation diagram molded into the plastic in the battery compartment.
