Roku setup

Hi Guys!

Recently has bought a Roku Express on Amazon Spain, but just today found out that the vendor states it “Will only work in France” I live in Spain, so I don’t know if when the Roku arrives, I will be able to use it in my home. Is there any option to change the setup market on the Roku device so I can have it working in Spain? Maybe updating the firmware?

Is it normal that Roku devices are intended to be used in one specific country? I have bought some in the past, and they worked in different countries without restrictions.

If not, I must return it to the vendor as soon as it arrives.

Sorry, Roku is not officially supported in Spain. As, for different firmware. As far as i know only ROKU can update your firmware. So, on two counts doubt you will have much success.

Roku is officially supported here:

• United States
• Canada
• France
• United Kingdom
• Germany
• Argentina
• Brazil
• Chile
• Colombia
• Costa Rica
• El Salvador
• Guatemala
• Honduras
• Mexico
• Nicaragua
• Panama
• Peru

That's it. Apps outside those counties may or may not work, depending on if the developer decides to support a Roku app in a country where Roku itself isn't supported. Most don't, though a few do
