Roku setup

I have used Roku for years. I recently canceled AT&T Now and subscribed to Sling. I added the icon on my main room tv and logged in - it works perfectly. 
However, in my bedroom now when I turn on my tv it will not even go to my Roku main page and the Roku remote does nothing. All I see is the sling symbol on the screen but can’t even login to it - frustrated!!  How do I get Roku to work now and enjoy sling and all of my other subscriptions?  Please help.

Just to be clear, the TV is on the HDMI port that Roku is connected to?

If so, what happens when you remove power to the Roku device, then reapply power?

Also, what model number? What software version of Roku OS and of the Sling TV app?
