Set up roku express through directv box and at&t wifi box

I have a directv genie box and internet service from AT&T that uses wifi. Can I set up Roku with these? If so, how in the world do I do it? I am technologically impaired.

Roku connects to your internet (Wi-Fi) and your TV.  It doesn't care about your direcTV box.  Just connect it to a different HDMI port.

.. and switch your TV's "Source" or "Input" setting to whichever HDMI port you wish to view at the time.
