Roku setup

I'm considering purchasing a Samsung hw-q600c 3.1 Soundbar but wanted to check and see if it would be compatible with my Roku device.  I currently have a Roku Ultra LT 2021 connected normally via HDMI directly to the T.V.

Would I be able to use this soundbar with just channeling the audio to it, or would the T.V. need to be on for the audio to output through the soundbar?

We understand that you want to connect your Samsung soundbar and use it as a speaker while connecting your Roku Ultra LT to your TV. Don't worry we're here to assist. 

Yes, this is possible if you configure the TV's audio output directly to the soundbar. You may need to check your TV manual for instructions on changing the audio output.
