Hi All

I've just bought a streambar and so far I'm impressed with the sound but I have a few questions:

1. I've connected it to my PC via optical cable supplied however the PC only sees it as a 2 channel device, is there a driver or any way for forcing 5.1 (Windoze 11)

2. I have an older generation Predator Monitor which I've connected to the Streambar via HDMI, is there anyway to scale / fill the widescreen of my monitor?

1. There's others more knowledgeable, but I think that's a limitation of optical connections.  From what I've read, you may get 5.1 from compressed audio, but it's probably more about the PC than the Streambar.  Optical is a one-way connection, so there really isn't any way for the PC to query the Streambar for its capabilities.  I think you're on the right track looking for a way to get Windows to realize it's capable of 5.1, but I don't know anything about that.  I think you're the first person I've seen trying to connect a Streambar to a PC, so you may be blazing new ground. 🙂
2. Roku devices don't have any scaling options.  All you can do is choose between 4k, 1080p, and 720p.  It would be up to the monitor to distort the picture to fill the screen.
