I recently installed a Roku Premier bought at Walmart on a LG flat screen LCD 1080p TV. The USB power came from the USB port on the TV. As soon as I plug in the Roku, the TV and the LG TV remote stop working. Everything about the Roku works, but I can no longer change the volume, input, access menus ... cannot do anything to the TV settings using either the TV remove or the physical buttons on the TV. The setup is obviously completely unusable sadly. Any ideas what is going on?!
Thank you!
Don't power it via the tv usb port! Get a usb wall adapter, the roku should have come with one.
you can just find some static and make an art piece out of it.
Ha, that sadly seems about all it's good for after the Roku is fired up. If I have the volume at a good level and don't have to change anything on the the TV, then we can watch stuff on the Roku just fine, but can't mute or switch to other devices while the Roku is on. Any specific ideas for solutions? Thanks!

I like Tivoburke's idea. The USB could be draining power from the Tv. That port is usually used for USB playback. The power consumption of a Roku device could be more of a drain.
Ok, we will give it a shot. Thank you both!
