Roku Express won't play thru Sanyo FW32D25T tv

I have several Roku's and currently have an older SE connected thru HDMI to my Sanyo FW32D25T.  It works fine except that Roku cannot load the newest Apps like DirecTV Stream.  I got a new Roku Express and plugged it to the TV using the same hdmi slot and cord,  but the TV says it has no signal.  I tried it on ask 3 hdmi ports and tried 2 different cables.  Both Express Rokus work on all my other tvs.  What's up?

Re: Roku Express won't play thru Sanyo FW32D25T tv

Your newer, more capable Express may require more power than your old SE.  If you are powering your Roku by plugging into the USB port on the TV, try powering from house power via the USB power adapter that came with the Roku.

Your old Sanyo may not supply enough power to operate the Express.  The ports on many televisions only supply 0.5 amp or less, which is not enough to power a Roku at all or do so reliably.

If you don't have a Roku adapter handy, any other you have from another device should work as long as the fine print on it says it outputs at least 1 amp.
