I was attempting to fix my roku's contant restarting problem by doing a factory reset. On the tv screen it asks for my email, I give it, it sends the link, I follow the link and its instructions, I finish the process and the tv screen gets to "updating channels 3 of 6" before restarting and asking for my email again. I have gone through this process several times.
On my account it says the device is connected, I've even unlinked it to relink it and changed its name to make sure but everytime I follow through the activation link process it links online and the tv sends me back to entering my email. Please help if you can; I have read through the other topics and wasn't able to find a solution. The Roku model number is 3930X.
Are you sure both devices are on the same network?

you were right, they were on different networks (the 2g and the 5g)
