Replacing Streaming Stick (3600) with new Streaming Stick+ (3810RW)

Okay, simple enough to connect; but what do I do FIRST if I'm removing old/existing                      Streaming Stick (3600) BEFORE (re)connecting new Streaming Stick(3810RW)??                           (simply pull old one out then stick in new one?)

Also, how do I de-activate the old Roku Streaming Stick and remote?                                                         (preferably to be used/re-activated elsewhere)

Re: Replacing Streaming Stick (3600) with new Streaming Stick+ (3810RW)

If you're just moving the old stick from one TV in your household to another, you don't have to do anything.  If you're going to try to sell it or give it to someone else then you'll want to perform a factory reset and unlink it from your Roku account.  It's easiest to do the factory reset from the Settings menu.  If you're going to use it yourself in another location with a different Wi-Fi network then you still don't have to do anything except unplug it and plug it into another TV, but you will have to set up the Wi-Fi connection again.  You don't have to do anything with the remote in any case.
