Clarify what happened, please.
When you say you unplugged your device, do you mean you removed the power source? Or do you mean you removed the Stick+ from the HDMI port of the TV?
And when you say you can't reconnect it, do you mean the power cord won't plug in to the Roku? The Roku won't plug into the HDMI port? The device won't connect to your WiFi network?
Please clarify the issue.

I disconnected the whole roku stick since I was rearranging everything in the room and when I went to plug it back in for some reason the hdmi port was not reading it so I took it out again and left it out and then tried to plug it back it and it worked but now it seems to not want to connect it take a while before it does connect , are we not supposed to disconnect onced it’s set up ?

Thank you for the clarification.
There should be no issue with what you did. You should not have had a problem. However, since there is a problem, let's figure out what's going on. There may be some troubleshooting steps before some solution is found.
Since it could be the Roku, or it could be the HDMI port on your TV, a way of testing would be to connect to a different HDMI port. And, if you have something in that port, swap it with the port the Roku was using. Did the problem follow the Roku or did it now occur on the other device? If the former, it may well be an issue with the Roku. If the latter, it is likely the HDMI port that's the problem.
Do that and let us know what happens.

I currently pay monthly for roku for showtime I have a new TV which I am trying to set up and it makes me want to purchase it or do a 30 day trial
Thanks for the inquiry.
Is the TV you are using a Roku TV? If so, is it linked to the same Roku account that your other devices are linked to? How are you accessing Showtime on your Roku TV? Are you watching it through the channel provider app directly or are you accessing Showtime through The Roku Channel?
With more information we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
