Recently purchased Roku Express 3930R. 3 diff TV's and cables and receives "no signal" message

We recently purchased the Express 3930R.  We have tried to setup on 3 different TV's, used multiple different HDMI cables.  All of them indicate "no signal".   The purple / blue light on the unit is displayed and to be honest, it seems to be very warm.    We know the cables are good, we knew they are connected correctly.  Could the problem just be a bad unit?  Any other suggestions?

@Jethro55

Just to make sure, you were able to use another device (game system, computer, or anything else) using that HDMI cable and that TV input? You say you know the cables are good, but you don't say how you know. One way to know is to see them in use. Assuming they're good because they're new means no more than assuming the Roku is good just because it's new. It should be, but things happen.

So, if you are trying to use cables that do work on other devices, and are using an HDMI port on the TV that shows content from other devices, then yes, it's the Roku.

By the way, the Roku Express is $30. Right now, the Roku Express 4K+ (a better device) is on sale for $25. Even if your Express was working, I'd take it back and exchange it for the Express 4K+ and save $5. Not sure where you bought it, but Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and other places are running the sale.
