ROKU 4K TCL 50S435 LED 4K SMART TV ADAPTER

I have a #TCL 50S435 LED 4K SMART / Purchased 10/30/21

Serial:  X000007FS89N

I have reported this issue to Support...no response as of late.

I want to connect my Sony VCR to the AV ADAPTER input on side of TV.  I have the 3.5 plug w/3 RCA FEMALE (YELLOW - RED - WHITE).  

All I get is a faint audio from tape and loud buzz...no picture.  VCR works fine when plugged into an analog unit.   Thanks in advance for your input.

Did the adapter come with the TV or is it one you've had lying around?  They're not all the same.  Try swapping around the cables.  Try each one in the yellow connector on the TV and see if you ever get a picture.

Thanks for the response.  The adapter is built in to the TV.  Mini plug on side of set labled "AV ADAPTER in".  The cable I have is 3.5 plug on one end and yellow, red, white RCA female on the other end to match the cable from VCR.  But, that's a thought to rotate those around for a picture.  Thanks.
