No signal - even drops out when watching a show

I have a new streaming stick+ and it was working fine for a few weeks, then it started showing no signal when I turned on the TV (with roku remote) , sometimes the Roku menu would pop up after a minute or two of pressing random buttons, or turning the TV on and off. 
However now when I am watching some shows the screen goes black and I get the no signal issue.

Nothing I do can get the Roku menu to come back. I end up turning off the TV and leaving it (Roku is on a 2nd TV)  till the next day when it works again.
The issue is slowly getting worse so can see it continuing to get worse till the stick is useless.

Anyone with any ideas?

How are you powering your Stick? Is it connected to a USB port on the TV, or are you using the wall adapter the Stick came with? If using the TV port, those often can cause problems such as this.

I am using the wall adaptor plugged into the stick. Happened again last night, got it running again once - before it went off again and wouldn't come back on - just no signal on the TV.
