NEW Roku Express 4K+ "Looping" never goes to "NEXT" but is registered

ISSUE: NEW Roku Express 4K+ keeps asking to enter Email, although Roku unit and Serial number are already registered in my account in "My streaming devices". It then never goes to "NEXT", it just keeps asking for email. I enter it... and then is asks for email again... etc

Note: This is the Second Device on the Same Email Account. It is plugged into ROKU supplied USB charger. Lights are on.

I've already: #1 restarted it and my router, #2 Restarted ROKU, #3: Restarted Screen but still the same issue, all multiple times.

This may be a new problem at ROKU

Re: NEW Roku Express 4K+ "Looping" never goes to "NEXT" but is registered

UPDATE:

I replaced USB power unit:  Unit Still asking to enter email

I pushed the reset button on the back of the Roku received:  Still asks for email ..But Now it has the Please Enter email screen overlaying the 'on screen keyboard display.

Is this time for a return ??

Re: NEW Roku Express 4K+ "Looping" never goes to "NEXT" but is registered

Hi @OceanskyBlue,

Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!

We appreciate you letting us know about this issue with your Roku Express 4K. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and we will work with you to know what went wrong so we can assist you further and fix the issue.

As you mentioned if you are powering your Roku by plugging into the USB port on the TV, try powering from the wall outlet via the USB power adapter that came with the Roku.

For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried connecting those Roku devices to another TV to see if you are experiencing the same issue?

As a last resort, if you are still experiencing an issue, we would recommend trying performing a factory reset on the device to see if there is a difference after.

For more information about how to factory reset your Roku device, visit our Support page here: How to system restart or factory reset your Roku streaming device | Official Roku Support

Please try doing this and see if it helps with what you're experiencing.

Best regards,
Mary
