This had supposedly been going on for a few months. My small roku device would just shut off frequently, and I was about to disconnect it when I noticed I was using the same usb to usb-c cord I use for my wired zelda controller as the power source for my roku player. I had no idea it was possible, but my Switch dock was effectively powering my streaming device. lol.
