My roku express was working up until the day before. It kept putting itself on the sling channel without prompting. Tech support told me to reset it and now it is stuck on the startup screen. It's not responding to the remote even though it's making the beeping sound when you press on it. The light from the Roku continuously blinks. I don't know what to do can somebody help me?
Looks like a couple of different, separate issues.
First, you said it keeps putting itself on the Sling channel. Does this mean you push a button to wake ur and it’s on Sling? Or does it mean you’re watching something and suddenly it exits what you’re watching and Sling TV is loading? Or what?

Generally, the blinking light means the Express is not connected to a network. (no wi-fi connection).
First step is to do a router reboot (let it fully reboot) and then do another restart of your Express and see if you can then proceed with setup.
If not, then confirm that that your router settings are configured as follows:
1. The 2.4ghz band of your network is broadcasting (radio enabled/on)
2, The 2.4 ghz band is broadcasting on a channel between 1 and 11 (not 12, 13, or 14)
3. The 2.4 ghz band protocol mode is set to g/n (mixed) and Bandwidth set to 20mhz.
Post back with update or if you need more help.
Yes. Sorry for the confusion. It was initially putting itself on sling just by me picking up the remote. Then I did a restart from the device because the remote wasn't allowing me to remove it from the sling channel or do anything else. Now it is stuck on the startup channel.
Hi. I did 2 reboots but it still won't budge from the start channel. The device is acknowledging the remote because I can hear it beeping but it's not allowing me to proceed with the set up. It won't respond to the remote. The light blinks.
I’m gonna step back and let the network experts help with that issue.
Regarding the Sling TV issue, I suspect you were using the Play or OK/Select button to wake up the Roku. Don’t. Try the Home button for that.
