Light blinks on front

I have a Roku express & when I just hooked it up, the white light on the front blinks, but my tv only says ‘weak or no signal’. I can’t find any real help & I have no customer service to call.

All the help articles basically at above link.

For your flashing blue light, generally means powered on but not connected to network (you saw the weak signal/no signal)

Either you need to configure your 2.4gz band of your network, or you have may have to move the Express closer to your router to get a signal.  Express will only see and use your 2.4, not 5gz of your network.

Settings...

2.4gz network band..... Radio Enabled/On, set Channel between 1-11, not Auto, 12, 13, or 14, Protocols/Mode set to b/g/n, Bandwidth 20Mhz.

Can also try to connect your Express to a hotspot for troubleshooting. (bypasses your network config)

Post back with Express model and your router model numbers if you need more help.

In this case the TV is providing the message, not the Roku.

Its a default error message when a TV isnt receiving/detecting a signal on the current input.

Make sure you have the TV's input setting on the HDMI input the Roku is connected to (e.g. if you have it connected to HDMI2, your TV's input setting needs to be on HDMI2).  Otherwise, try switching the HDMI port the Express is connected to (and switch the TV's input setting too).

If you cant get the TV to display a signal on any HDMI input (even when you switch HDMI ports that its connected to), try connecting it to a different TV to verify the Express is working.
