Is using Roku legal in Germany?

Hi,

I live in Germany and I want to use Roku to watch Kdramas. And I know German law is very strict about online streaming. So, I am scared to use Roku. Can anyone who uses Roku and lives in Germany share his/her experience with me? I would be thankful!

Hi @Benazir,

Welcome to the Roku Community and thanks for the inquiry.

Currently, Roku players are not officially marketed or sold to Germany, but your Roku player should work fine in any country. Although some channels and content may work there, others will have geo-restrictions that prevent them from working, but you can count on Netflix and YouTube working just about anywhere. Also, keep in mind, the Roku Mobile app is not available there at this time. Thanks for your interest and we hope to expand our presence soon.
