Roku setup

I want to set up a Roku on my computer. I can plug it into the monitor and get picture but no sound. How do I connect it so that it plays the sound through the computer? There is only one HDMI port on the computer.

HDMI ports on computers are usually output-only anyway.

You could use an HDMI audio extractor like this one.  This is just an example. I haven't used any myself.  I would recommend buying anything like this from someone with a good return policy in case it doesn't work out.
