I have had my Roku for a few years. I can use the roku to select different streaming services and search for shows. The minute a video starts actually playing the HDCP pops up. I have unplugged and replugged and turned on and off and every suggestion I've seen. I tried lowering the display type and that didn’t help. Please help.
While I can't guarantee this will resolve it, its possible the issue is linked to WiFi channel congestion, so I'd recommend you install WiFi Analyzer for Android or something similar if you have an iPhone. Then tap the app and look at how many others use the same channel/band and log into the router and change it to one with less congestion. If you use service provider modem/router, their equipment default setting for channel selection is 'auto' which is often the problem. Hope that helps
Ok this actually sounds very helpful! I use a service provider router and modem. Would the channel selection options be found online under the modem or router settings?
If you can get to roku settings under display type my ultra had recommended 4K HDR10 i changed it to 4k Dolby vision HDR TV. It has worked on ultra also roku express started same thing change it all works good now !! Hope this works for anyone else having this issue
