Roku devices, other than actual RokuTVs, receive everything via the Internet. You can't receive OTA (over the air) channels with a stand-alone Roku device, so no antenna is necessary. It will give you a different experience than what you get with Virgin, so you may want to get a cheap Roku to try before you get rid of Virgin.
