I have a smart jvc tv and in the settings it shows that the cec is on but when I Try to power my Roku express off it says that you’re tv needs to enable cec control for this feature to work but it is turned on

you dont need to power a Roku off.

Just leave it at HOME.

I think he's referring to TV OFF shortcut on the home screen, which only works if cec is turned and recognized.

I dont keep up with this stuff.

My machines are all on constantly

I cant deal with it.

I am having the same problem. I have CEC turned on, on my TV but it still tells me I have to turn it on when I go to power it off. How did you fix this problem?

Can you please provide more information about the issue you are experiencing? Are you using a Roku TV or a Roku device?
