Bought a smart tv with Roku built in. When I click the activation code it says down for maintenance? I have setup several other TV's and never run into this. What can I do??
is this a reoccurring issue?
It is 4/20 and I just got the same message??????
Me too getting the down for maintenance now.
If using Chrome, copy email link Roku sent to incognito tab. It should then work.
I just bought a ROKU TV AND I’ve been trying to set up my tv and I need a activation code. EVERYTIME I click the link it’s saying
“Temporarily down for maintenance We are performing maintenance. We should be back online shortly.”
Hi @xxRIOSxx,
Thanks for the posting to Roku Community. We're sorry for the activation issue you are experiencing that's not what we aim for.
Have you tried clearing your cookies or cache or reloading the web browser or use a different one to access http://my.roku.com? Do you have a computer you can access the website with?
I've provided a link below to go into further detail on how to resolve player activation issue: How do I resolve an issue when activating or ... - Roku
Let us know how it goes! We're hoping this will work for you.
Thanks,
Mary
Hi @Daja1998,
Thanks for reaching out regarding the issue you are experiencing.
If you are experiencing an issue with being unable to activate your Roku device due to the site being down, we would recommend clearing the cookies of your web browser and trying again.
Does this clear up the issue you are seeing? Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Mary

Idk a real solution has been provided by ROKU but the fix that I found was to:
1. Open the link @My74ghia provided. (It will say expired but leave the tab/page open)
2. Press * on your device
3. click change email. (Don’t actually change your email)
4. Return to your email inbox
5. Click the new activation link (may need to refresh for it to populate)
I just setup 3 new Roku TVs using this method, I hope it helps you all as well.
