4K stick not detecting new LG OLED 4 modes

My new 4K stick in settings is set to 4K. My new LG OLED C4 has a beautiful picture in standard and HDR modes.
When streaming through the Roku stick it does not match the quality. The WiFi signal is strong. The settings display has the stick set to 4K. Normal tv network channels through the stick are fair to poor looking. Netflix is OK but not brilliant like on the LG channel lineup. I have used online setup guides, but am now frustrated. Thoughts?

Re: 4K stick not detecting new LG OLED 4 modes

This sounds more like an LG issue than the Roku and as an LG owner myself, I'd recommend you call support. Where the Roku settings are concerned, I have never owned a stick, but use the Auto setting for display/screen which allows the Roku to detect the resolution/type of TV. Also wondering if you've used a network app like WiFi Analyzer for Android or something similar for iPhone. These apps show channel congestion which is often the culprit for poor connectivity. Best of success, regardless
