1 device - multiple wi-fi networks or TVs?

Jump to solution

Extreme newbie here (like i got the device last night)...  I purchased this hoping to use the device while we are camping.  I have it connected currently at home to make sure it works, but wondering now if we will be able to change the wifi it uses (different from campground to campground), or connect it to other TVs easily depending on the one we want to use (bedroom or living room, i realize not more than 1 at a time)  Are we able to do that? easily?  sorry if it's been asked but i tried to search the topic.

TIA

@SPR2021-

Generally there's no problem resetting to a new WiFi network.  Settings >Network > Set up connection > Wireless.

If the campground Wifi is one where you have to log into a web page to establish access you'll have to go through some extra steps.

The Roku has no web browser. In order to log the Roku into the net's web page, you log in via your computer/phone/tablet as usual but you run it through the Roku instead of directly.

You do this by connecting your computer or mobile device to the Roku via a wifi-direct connection. When you then log into the system's web page on your browser while connecting through the Roku it establishes the Roku's connection.
