Unable to find Media Tab in Roku App

Hello, I’m trying to customize a screensaver using photos from my phone, but in my Roku app, there is no media tab.

I haven’t been able to find out why or if there’s a different app I need to use. I’m so confused, any answers for this? My app is fully updated.

There are hundreds of screen savers. Which one are you talking about? Which one allows you to use photos from your phone?

Give us something to go by, and we'll see what we can find out about the situation.

Re: Unable to find Media Tab in Roku App

In the official Roku app, there SHOULD be a Media tab that allows you to display photos from your phone to your Roku TV, as well as select photos to be used as a screensaver. I apologize for not specifying that. The problem is that I don’t have a media tab and I’m not sure why.

It should look like this. Notice the media tab at the bottom. Is this an older version of the app? Is this somehow another app? That’s what I’m wondering.

Is that from a set of instructions from somewhere? Do you have a link?

Where are getting instructions or other information about using photos from your phone? Don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting anything you're saying or trying to do. I'm trying to gather information. I've never tried or wanted to use my own photos as a screen saver. It's just not an interest of mine, so I've never looked into it. I have no idea how many have tried. But I can try to research and figure out what's going on. So, let's start with your information about it. Where did you get it? Provide a link. Let's see what we can figure out.

Re: Unable to find Media Tab in Roku App

Here are a few instructions, as well as a video from Roku.

I saw a few comments saying that it isn’t an option anymore, but I saw someone who was able to do it on Tiktok today (the video was posted a few days ago). They haven’t provided me an explanation as to how they were able to.

The newest one of those is 8 months old. Things may have changed. But, Roku does have instructions on how to use the Play On Roku feature to put your media on Roku.

Note that the instructions are a little unclear. When you select your Roku device, I get the Roku remote popup. Click the X to close that, and the Media button appears right underneath the Roku to which you are connected.
