The mobile app on my iPhone 13 just recently is having trouble locating my Roku streaming stick. Only after I unplug and restart the streaming stick, can the mobile app find my Roku device. I have to do this every time I want to use my iPhone remote app to connect to Roku. I've done all the troubleshooting. There's no issue with my network. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my device and still the issue persists. Appreciate any advice on this. thanks.
A change introduced by Roku operating system version 10.5 added a new "Power" item in the "Settings > System" menu for some of the latest Roku models. The new "Auto power savings" item there will put your Roku device into a low power standby condition after a period of inactivity, such as when your tv has been turned off for a while.
A guess on my part: Perhaps this standby state shuts down the Roku's wifi connection.
Pressing a Roku control key on your Roku remote (not Power, Volume, or Mute which act on the TV, not the Roku) should bring the Roku out of standby and back to full operation without having to power the Roku down.
If you have a "Settings > System > Power" menu item, under "Auto power savings" see if deactivating any power saving options you find there will prevent your Roku from going into standby.
