I am trying to use the mobile app to watch Roku and use the remote. The first thing that comes up is "cannot find a Roku device" So I tried connecting the tv manually and still does not connect. It says "A. Roku device was not found at this IP address. Please check the IP address and try again." I am looking at the IP address and entering it exactly. Still unsure what the issue is. Both are on the same wifi.

If your Roku device does not appear on the discovery screen, learn why the Roku mobile app may not be able to find your Roku device.
Please keep us posted and we'll continue assisting you from there!

How can i get my roku ip address to connect my tv mannully with no remote
Basically my fiancé and I both have iPhones, and a new Roku TCL tv. Well we both downloaded the app to our phone, worked for us both for a while now. Now it won’t work for either of us. We’ve tried manually entering the IP address, unplugging the tv, leaving the app on trying to connect. I’ve gone through the settings trying to see if something in there was preventing it. So far nothing. Airplay will not work either. HELP!!
Do you have your iPhones connecting via wifi to the same home network as your Roku TV?
Yes we do! And for reference we have an XR and an 8 plus. And we don’t have 5g or anything like that.

Same issue with device not showing up in app. Try to reset connection. On Roku tv go to Settings/System/Advanced System Settings/Network Connection Reset/Reset Connection. Confirm your tv is reconnected then go to Roku App on phone and your tv should show up under devices.
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.
We're here to help. We believe that your phone or tablet and your Roku device are connected to the same network, this way you can connect your Roku device to the Roku mobile app. What mobile phone are you using, an android or Apple device? Does your mobile device connected to a VPN?
