Roku App for iOS Won’t Stay Connected.

My iOS Roku app will not stay connected via Wi-Fi to my Roku. I have an iPhone 11 (w/ the latest software update as of 2/9/2022).

My situation… I’ll reset my Roku tv & (sometimes) I’ll be able to reconnect my iOS roku app back to the tv for maybe 15-20 min tops.. then it goes back to being stuck on “connect to device” & device “won’t wake up.”

How I’ve troubleshooted… I’ve tried resetting the tv, I’ve tried deleting/redownloading the app multiple time, I’ve tried disconnecting/reconnecting the Wi-Fi, I’ve tried unplugging/plugging back in the tv… nothing fixes the issue.

The tv already won’t respond to the black Roku hardware remotes, so without the use of my iphone Roku app, my tv has basically been rendered useless.

Please someone advice!

@Tsw22

Thanks for the post.

For us to better understand the issue you are experiencing can you provide us with more detailed information? What Roku model device are you using? What is the issue you are experiencing with physical remote that came with the Roku device? What troubleshooting steps have you already taken to try to resolve the issue?

With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.

Thanks,
Danny

Let me add a question to what @RokuDanny-R has asked. You wrote:

Why are you resetting your Roku TV. Do you mean a factory reset? Or are you simply talking about turning it off and on?

If a factory reset, I gotta ask why you're feeling you need to do that. That is always a last resort, so either you're jumping the gun in doing a factory reset, or something serious is going on that's a lot worse than what appears to be an iOS app issue. Would you clarify please?
