Same here , can’t connect my app to the tv, i even tried putting the IP manual but still , I’ve been struggling with this issue for a week now, looking at the app reviews on the App Store it looks like it’s happening a lot since the last version 😞

My iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 15.3.1 and my TCL Roku TV 65" running OS 10.5 have zero issues with AirPlay. All 3 of my Roku TV's don't and my other Roku devices.
Glad your working. But read the # of posts here on this issue. Read the room pal. There is a problem with 15.3.1 IOS update the ROKU App. Just because it works for you that's great. But i've been in support long enough to understand that there is an issue here.
Mine was simple. Apple update IOS 15.3.1. The App no longer could connect to my TV.
I've update the firmware of the TV to the lastest. I've sent an email to TCL about the issue.
I've deleted the app on the phone and reinstalled from the App Store.
It's pretty easy app to use. Supposed to be.
You select devices, select your TV and go. But after 15.3.1 it says - Can't connect - Turn off your tv and restart and try again.
Same network in my house and this all worked until Apple dropped 15.3.1.
To sit and here and tell people there is no problem because it works for me is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S. The old saying 'useless as t#ts on a boar' comes to mind.
You seem to be forgetting this post is about Apple airplay not the Roku remote app. Just because there’s about a dozen people that are having some sort of issue doesn’t account for the millions that are not. Again have you tried doing a factory reset on your TV? Have you Uninstall the app on your phone then restarted your phone and then reinstall the app? Are you using the most current version of the app as I showed in the picture? Your replies are rather vague and you’re not providing enough information. The app works just fine. There is no firmware to update on the TV. There is however Roku software to update. Which version are you using? Why don’t you try what I suggested first and foremost. Heck I can even go to my mothers house and control her Roku with my mobile app. Can you provide pictures such as I did?
I was experiencing the same problem because I was using a VPN on my phone. After I turned off the VPN it connected to my TV immediately.
I am having the same issue of the mobile app remote not working with my tv. I have a new iPhone 13 max and just downloaded the Roku app yesterday because I lost my remote. It worked beautifully, then, while the TV was on, all of a sudden it quit working. I was trying to mute the commercials. It told the devise wasn’t found. I was able to find the TV in the other room and control it. It worked again this morning and now it can’t find it. Any advise? My phone is on the same network, the other TV is streaming right now, and my app says it can’t wake my TV.
I am having the same issue after the apple recent updates, both on the same wifi network, even tried resetting the Roku stick, still not resolved. I have a iphone 12 and iphone SE and it does not work on either of the phones.

Can you please specify the issue you are experiencing? What are the steps to reproduce the issue? What make and model is your Roku TV as well as the OS that the TV is running? What is the make and model of the mobile device and what OS is it running?

My TV also needed software update and after this, I turned off the TV fully from the settings menu, switched off for 5 minutes and I can now connect both iPhones, the old SE model was restored to factory reset as I was having issues with the software update, as the iPhone was not working how it should have did. This old iPhone also picks up the Roku stick, so am so pleased, as I love using my Roku stick to stream content.
