Free Mobile app to install in my IPhone 12 Pro Max

Jump to solution

What is the name of the free mobile app I need to install in my I-Phone 12 Pro Max? There are a lot of them that I have to pay to use them. I have Roku and the only Channel I can watch is the Roku channel. The one I want to install is where I can watch all the channels I have installed in my Roku account exactly the way I see it in my TCL Roku TV. Please advise. Thank you.

@jconde20  Note you can only watch the Roku channel on your phone through the Official Roku Remote Control app. You cannot watch things such as Netflix, Hulu or Disney+ using the app

@jconde20  What channels? Netflix? Hulu? Sure it’s called download and install those apps. It’s that easy. The Roku Remote Control app is more like an extension of your Roku remote. It’s not exactly a stand along streaming service. You can watch the Roku channel content from it when your not home. That’s it. If you have subscriptions to other channels how are you subscribed to them? Through Roku or directly through that service?

Hello, thanks for the information. I have that application already installed. What about when I am outside of my home? Is there any other app that I can use to watch my channels while I am traveling without being connected to my Roku devices?

@jconde20

You can watch certain Premium subscriptions like Showtime, Epix, Fox Nation, AMC+, Starz, and others through the Roku Mobile App. (Browse through the available ones in the section on the app home screen labeled "Browse Premium Subscriptions").  These are available to watch after you login to the Roku mobile app.

For other Subscriptions (channel partners), as indicated in the above Support article, you need to login to them individually in order to use.  That basically means you will need to install them individually on your mobile device and watch them outside the mobile app.

There currently is no single mobile app that has "all" your subscriptions in one place to mimic the Roku device or RokuTV.  Basically, just have to install these individually on your mobile device if not available to watch through the Roku mobile app.

Hello, thanks for your help. I have Epix and Starz through my Roku app and I cannot watch those channels individually only through the Roku channel app. My other apps like Netflix, Prime, Hulu and Disney can be installed separately.

@jconde20

Thanks for the inquiry.

Please be aware that if you have a subscription to a channel through Roku Pay, you will only be able to stream and watch that content through The Roku Channel and will not be able to watching through the direct channel or on another Roku device. I'm guessing since you are able to access the other channels through the channel directly, you most likely have a subscription directly through the channel provider.

Hope this provides clarification.

Thanks,
Danny
