At least in the US, Roku never sold a 4205. There was a Roku 2 model 4210. That player is now ten years old, and while Roku still officially supports it not all service providers do. Here again, Netflix does show it still supports the 4210.
From your issues connecting the reset box back to your network, it's sounding like the box has finally given up. As I said, if it's the 4210 it's now 10 years old, which is ancient in the home electronics world. For $40 you can get a Roku Express 4K+ that runs circles around your Roku 2, as well as supporting 4K and all the current services.
