The Keyboard on the iOS Roku Mobile App doesn’t work on Apple TV. Does it work for Android?

For instance, when signing in, I should be able to use the Roku Mobile App keyboard to enter the username and password into the fields in the Apple TV app. The keyboard won’t work. I’m forced to hunt and peck with the 4-way arrow controls.
(Spoiler tag? I’m not even sure what that means.)
I believe that's under the control of the channel developer, not Roku. So whoever developed the Apple TV app didn't enable using the keyboard from the Roku app on a smart phone or tablet. Sounds kind of dumb, but it's under the control of Apple, not Roku.

Thanks, it makes sense, I just wanted to make a note somewhere in case other people were having this problem.

Uh, no you didn't. The only app you mentioned was the Roku app.
"The Keyboard on the iOS Roku Mobile App doesn’t work on Apple TV."
That's why I was seeking clarification.
The topic of this post is “iOS KEYBOARD WON’T WORK WITH APPLE TV APP.”

Ah, so it is. Missed that, sorry.
But in my first reply I also addressed the app: "It may or may not work within a given Roku channel app (such as the Apple TV app on Roku) *IF* the app provider coded support for it into their app".
