I have an older Roku 2 purchased in 2015 connected to a standard def TV using composite cables. It still works but it is on the slow side processing requests, even though I have a super fast internet connection. I would like to be able to watch Hulu or Youtube TV, which I have problems with now. If I purchased the Roku Express + (2018), would I see an improvement in performance and be able to watch additional channels? While, it's only $30, I wondered if it's worth the effort. Thanks.
Thanks for the inquiry.
Yes, a Roku Express device will allow you view more content as channel providers support the newer devices as their channel may no longer support older devices such as your Roku 2.
Thanks,
Danny
My Roku 2 has no HDMI connections. Just RCA connectors. My 15 year old Panasonic has two but they are being used for the Direct TV box and a DVD player. How do I get around this problem? None of the new Roku devices have RCA connectors.
I, too, have an older device that is connected with RCA cables, as I have no empty HDMI ports. Does ROKU have a new device that utilizes the RCA cable connectors?
