I have an old Roku DVP N1000 which hasn't been used for quite awhile. When I turn it on, the Home screen only shows Setup, and there are no longer any channels to choose from. The internet connection checks out and there are no software updates available. How do I get access to the channels?
Took a photo, but having trouble inserting it here. My Roku home screen is nothing more than a large "Settings" button in the middle of the screen with "Roku Player Settings" under it. I can click the Settings button and several settings options become available. When I go into Netflix Settings, the Netflix account owner is "not registered." When I go into Player info, I see that the Roku account is "not available."
You might want to start from scratch, with a factory reset.. I believe there's a pinhole on the back of the old models.. while booting, hold a paperclip in the indented button for 30 seconds and release.
Yeah, I got some Rokus. https://youtu.be/d1CSEeqWl10
I had an N1100 (before I gave to to my parents) which is about the same age as the N1000 and like Jeffrok mentioned the channel store was so slow it was essentially unusable, so it's much easier to just add channels from the web after you reset.
