Help needed - using Vimeo external link

Hi
I am using Vimeo external link as my URL, and upload my file to myjson.com, following is the URL
https://api.myjson.com/bins/luqqd

But I received an error on Feed status: No valid items were found in the feed[/font]
Anybody knows why it doesn't work? Thanks!

Re: Help needed - using Vimeo external link

Have you tried using the HLS feed links from Vimeo Pro instead of the MP4?  I don't use Vimeo/Vimeo Pro at all so I am limited in the help I can provide.  I know many others here use Vimeo with great success.

Re: Help needed - using Vimeo external link

Thanks I will take a look at HLS feed.

I assume that I use myjson.com to get the URL is not the problem?

Re: Help needed - using Vimeo external link

No, if you take your link of the video and try to open it in a browser it does not open:
https://player.vimeo.com/external/214294093.hd.mp4?s=8f369a8501619856ae1d0369f987e4afd01a8ca2\u0026profile_id=119

It comes up "Sorry We’re having a little trouble."  I am not sure you are using the correct link but again, I don't use Vimeo so I don't know the correct link to use.

If you look at the raw data of your JSON file, the link you just pasted above is NOT the link you have in your JSON file.  What is different?  The "&" that is supposed to precede the word "profile" in your link has been transposed to "\u0026".  Fix that and I am sure it will work.

Re: Help needed - using Vimeo external link

Thanks Mediadisconnect!
I changed to HLS link, it Works finally. Now I just wait for Roku approve for my test video.
In the mean time, If this works, I have more videos to put on my channel, do you know
1. shall I put all URL on the same .json file?
2. Can I still use myjson.com as a hosting site for my file, or I need to upload the file to my own website through hostgator - then I need to figure out how?

Re: Help needed - using Vimeo external link

Congrats!

I would send a private message to RokuPam or RokuChrisT and tell them you are waiting for your channel to be approved. The last I heard there was a bug in their notification system.

You put all of your movie elements in one JSON file. I have over 500 in my one file.

You can still use myjson.com or your hosting provided. You just need to make sure (I believe) that you use the same feed link for your channel. If you change it, you will have to publish a new version instead of just waiting four hours for the system to refresh your feed.

Re: Help needed - using Vimeo external link

Hi there,

There isn't a bug with our certification process or results. If you submit a channel update, you will receive results within 5 business days. Please note if you are resubmitting an update, you must email partnersuccess@roku.com to let us know you've resubmitted so we can place your channel back in the testing queue.

If for some reason you haven't received results after 5 business days, you can contact our team at https://developer.roku.com/contact. Thanks!

Re: Help needed - using Vimeo external link

Thank you for the update/clarification Pam.

I think most of us (at least I am not) are not aware that we need to email partnersuccess@roku.com if we are submitting an update to our previously approved channel.
