I’m referring to component not composite. Component being Green Blue Red.
There are no Roku models since introduction of the 2nd generation series in 2011 that directly provide component video.
First generation models have not been supported for a long time. The version of the Roku OS those can not be updated and probably can no longer correctly work with the Roku channel store. Also, pre-installed channels such as Netflix probably will no longer work with Netflix servers of today.
Indirectly, there are adapters and audio receivers available to downgrade a digital HDMI signal to an analog component video signal.
The minimum supported resolution of modern Roku OS is 1280x720 so make sure the component video device you plan to use can match or exceed that before investing in any adapter.

The very best adapter I've found is to get a new TV.
Theyre pretty cheap right now.
Newer is not always better and honestly with the way tech and TVs are going it’s not better. Also “just get newer” promotes waste and why get rid of perfectly fine TV that still has a great picture just because device companies like #Roku stop making or supporting devices like Roku 2 XS that are compatible with Legacy TVs.
I can tell you as someone who retired from a different (not Roku) company, the reason we stopped making stuff that connected to older equipment was that not enough people would buy it to justify continuing. In other words, we'd make anything we could make money on, but some niches become too small to be profitable.
Most people buy a new main widget, then go into a flurry of buying add-ons and accessories for it, then stop. … Until they buy the next new main widget.
