Using your own pics for wallpaper theme

Jump to solution

I was wondering if there was a way to download your own pics to use as a wallpaper theme, or perhaps even for the screen saver?

Thanks!

Use the Mobile Screensaver functionality.

If you have a 4K model, you can download and use the Roku Official Remote app to load pics from your phone/tablet/device as a screensaver using the cast/Play on Roku functionality to the Mobile Screensaver:

Open the Roku app/Devices/Select device/Media/Screensaver/Select pics to show/Next/Set options/Set Screensaver.

Once you "load" the pics to your Roku, just make sure the Mobile Screensaver is selected as your screensaver on your Roku.

Unfortunately Roku does not have a support article on this - this is the closest one: https://support.roku.com/article/208755108

NOTE:  The Mobile Screensaver is only available on 4K models

Hi @JSBrown303,

Thanks for posting and inquiry about personalizing themes and screen savers.

Currently, personalizing your themes and screen savers are available by using the default theme pack that is already available in your Roku device or Roku TV or additional theme packs are available for free download from the settings menu on your Roku device.

Feel free to check on our blog at blog.roku.com for any future announcements or updates.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!

Regards,
Mary

Yes, but can you add your own pics to what's already included? I already know how to change the themes and screensavers with what's already included.

Thanks. Sorry I took so long to reply. Just been too busy to mess with it. Anyways, I got the screensaver to work. However, is there a way to use personal pics as the main theme for the 4k Roku tv? I haven't seen how to do that.

Thanks again!
