Re: Spectrum channel showing error RLP-1031 after firmware 10. 5 update

Jump to solution

There is already a newer build (4164) of OS10.5, though it may be model specific.

Check for updates again:  Settings/System/System update/Check now - try again

FYI, 2.7.16 is a Spotify version - are you having trouble with Spotify too?

Spectrum version is 6.8 build 0.

No issues with Spotify. That version was a mistake.

@jphensleyjr

6.8.0 is the latest Spectrum app version.

Did you check for updates again to see if there is a newer build of RokuOS 10.5?

Roku is rolling out a system update. What you need to know:

An update from Roku operating system 10.0 to 10.5 is currently rolling out. The rollout proceeds, unit by unit, via some schedule known only to Roku. If you have more than one Roku, each unit may receive the update at a different time, even if they are the same Roku model. You can see your current Roku version number and when it was installed via Roku menu path Settings > System > System update. While there, you can click Check now to force a manual update check.

Supported Roku devices receiving Roku OS 10.5 per this Roku Support Page are:

  • Roku Streaming Players and Streambars – 9102X, 9101X, 9100X, 4801X, 4800X, 4670X, 4662X, 4661X, 4660X, 4640X, 4630X, 4620X, 4400X, 4230X, 4210X, 4200X, 3941X, 3940X, 3931X, 3930X, 3921X, 3920X, 3910X, 3900X, 3821X, 3820X, 3811X, 3810X, 3800X, 3710X, 3700X, 3600X, 3500X, 2720X, 2710X, 2700X.
  • Roku TV – All Roku TV models are expected to receive Roku OS 10.5.

You can check your Roku model number via Roku menu path Settings > System > About.

In the past, I've found that updating the Roku software may not automatically update all channel apps that have new versions to accommodate the Roku update. Manually running an additional update check as soon as you receive the Roku update can make sure you have the latest versions of all your channel apps and prevent many update-related problems (Settings > System > System update > Check now).

Despite having had access to the Roku update as it was being developed, some channels may take a few days for their developers to issue needed updates, so a manual update check is a good first step when running into specific channel problems.

For information about the features of this Roku update, see this Roku Support Page.

@Jmr57779

You may have gotten OS10.5.0- build 4156 - there may be a newer build of OS 10.5:  4164.

As @makaiguy suggests, check for updates again to see if the newer build (4164) is available for you, and if so, fixes the issue with Philo TV.

If you can, report back here with the results.
