Since my TV (TCL Series 6 65") updated to 9.4.0 build 4190 I am getting no audio from my HDMI ARC port that I run to a Vizio 5.2.1 sound bar. Audio still works on sound bar with other devices, and with optical output on TV. But no audio with HDMI ARC. I can tell that the sound bar is responding, as the volume still increases from TCL Roku remote. Tried restarting TV and sound bar and replugging everything in and still no luck. Any idea if this is a known defect?
The sound bar needed to be updated as well to the latest software via Vizio app. All set now!
try refreshing the cec devices in the settings of the tv?
settings> system> control other devices (CEC)> search for CEC devices>

I am having this same problem with the same sound bar. All issues after the latest TCL update. My sound at says it’s up to date. Still getting audio dropouts on sound bar through the Roku apps. (Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, etc)
